A mastopexy, also known as a breast lift, is a surgical procedure in which breast tissue is lifted and the nipple position is corrected to achieve a firmer and aesthetically pleasing anomaly.
The operation is performed under general anesthesia and begins with an incision around the areola that extends vertically downward to the breast crease. Then, excess skin is removed, and breast tissue is lifted and repositioned to achieve a firmer and higher breast shape while the nipple position is corrected.
